Panama is much more than just the Panama Canal. It is a land of emerging opportunity with a lot to offer to both visitors and investors. It is a small Democratic Republic in Central bordered by Costa Rica to the northwest, Colombia to the southeast, the Caribbean Sea to the north, and the Pacific Ocean to the south. Its total population is a very diverse 3.5 million residents. Its capital, Panama City, is a modern, sophisticated city with active commerce, arts, fashion and dining—a thriving and fast-growing metropolis with just under 1 million residents. A major port city, with unmatched access to the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea via the Panama Canal, Panama City is also an important crossroads to the World, a major Latin American air travel hub, international banking center, and trade and cultural center.
El Valle de Antón, the chosen site of REGGAE EN LA MONTAÑA, is a popular retreat and tourist area located at less 2 hours drive from Panama City. The area is a true natural paradise, as are many places in this blessed country. In El Valle de Antón there's an abundance of fresh mountain air, delicious spring water, waterfalls, lakes, beaches, hiking trails, breathtaking views, camping grounds, nature tours, zipline attractions, and much more. All of this can be found at close proximity to the festival site, on the beautiful grounds of the Hotel Campestre. There’s a suitable place to stay in El Valle to fit every festival visitor’s budget.
El Valle de Antón enjoys some of the most pleasant weather that can be experienced in Panama, with temperatures generally 5° F cooler than in Panama City. REGGAE EN LA MONTAÑA will take place during the local dry season. You will find less rains during this time of year, lower humidity, and cooler winds.
